If you take regular medication please discuss it with your doctor who will arrange for your medical record to be updated. Details of what medication you take are kept on computer under the terms of the Data Protection Act, 1998.
To obtain your repeat prescription please give 48 hours notice.
This 48 hour period relates to the generation of the signed prescription and does not include the items being ready for collection at a nominated pharmacy. Please discuss with your pharmacy the time period that should be allowed for the medication to be ready for collection.
You can leave a message on the answerphone by dialling 658519 giving your computer number, name and address and the name(s) of the medication(s).

Please only order when you have 7 days' worth of medication remaining and provide the following information in the email:

Due to Covid19 we will no longer be accepting paper request for medication.

You can simply open the first link and use the form provided via the Internet or, if you prefer, you can use the bottom link which is more secure but you need to be registered for the service. If you require medication urgently when the surgery is closed, please contact NHS 111.
To make sure we give the best possible care, patients who receive regular medication from their doctor should have a drug review at least once a year. The back of the prescription listing your repeat medication includes the date when your review becomes due and need to see your doctor again. The doctor will need up to date information, and to make the process as simple as possible, it is important that you have an appointment with a health care assistant at least one week before you see your GP. Please tell the receptionist you are having a drug review and will need two appointments.
The health care assistant will up date your medical record with any relevant information such as: height, weight, blood pressure etc. and can take any routine blood tests so that the results will be available by the time you see the GP.
If you suffer from Coronary heart disease, Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Hypothyroidism or many other long term conditions then you may need a blood test before your review.
We hope that this system will prove to be more convenient for you and ask you to either call into the surgery or telephone 653600 to make your appointments.
We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from 3rd September 2020
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
You will receive your prescriptions in the same way as you do now.
